Larry -- As usual, your on target. Thanks! BTW -- I did get to dig through the redbook more last evening -- for details on "load balancing" it seems to point into chapters on LDAP and RIP. In the "futures" section of the chapter on RIP, the book authors comment that there are newer, router based technologies out there for load balancing The book also has an entire chapter on "how to" set up the AS/400 DNS. The appendix has a very nice index to other publications (both IBM and others). ********************************* Date: Tue, 21 Mar 2000 21:23:45 -0500 From: Larry Bolhuis <lbolhuis@arbsol.com> Subject: Re: TCP/IP line Load balancing <snip> ps Hopefully the Redbook George listed will give additional tips on Load Balancing. *********************************** George Lemen Sr. Project Analyst, CIBER Inc Weyerhaeuser CER Technical Support and Operations Manager Weyerhaeuser phone: (253) 924-7975; E-mail: george.lemen@weyerhaeuser.com CIBER Phone (425) 451-2575 x142; E-mail: glemen@ciber.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
