All,

We upgraded to V4R4 over the weekend. Most of our people are still on Client
Access. So far only two have changed to Express. We are planning on moving
everyone to Express over the next two weeks.

Our concern is the noticeable time lag after you get a connection (first
little sign on box) to the 400 before a signon screen appears. We think it
has something to do with getting a license at connection time. This was not
apparent under V4R3.

Big question: Is there any way of making this faster?

There are no mapped drives, so the connection is started when they click on
their desktop icon for their session.
I appreciate that there are other ways of connecting (MochaSoft), but
management has decreed Client Access. I would just like to speed it up a
little.

We are running on a Model 510, current on PTF's.
