× The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

I did a scratch install a long time ago V2R1M0 to V3R1M0.  If I remember
correctly I used an IPL option to clear the system and then did another IPL from
tape to load the new system.  I then did a restore From the Save all user Data.

It worked well.

Sorry do not remember the IPL options but believe you can find them in the
backup and recovery guide.
