RE: again validity checking program

You must be careful with validity checker programs, sometimes there are
'hidden' parameters to the command (SAVLIB and RSTLIB both do).  Also for
OS/400 commands, when you next upgrade OS/400, the CPP for the command may
change and you will need to amend and recompile your validity checking
program - this can be a real inconvenience.

hello all,

some days ago I allready asked something about validity checking program.
With the help of the list I have began to write such a program but there are
some problems:

when CHGJOB -command wants to change a parameter that i do not check there
is an
pointer error.

I have also looked in the archive of the list to find a sample of such a
program
especially written in CL, so I found a mail from John Cirocco vom 02 Jun
1998
but I am not sure if he still is a subscriber of this list.

any help appreciated
