If you are in a TCP/IP network environment, FTP could be a good solution; you can do a get/put from either end (OS/400 also has FTP); though personally I prefer to PUT the data up to the AS/400 from the PC. If this sounds feasible to you, email me back directly. Kind regards, Jeff Bull. We need to get them on AS/400 physical files on an on-going basis. I'm looking for a programming solution for this. I do not know anything about IFS. So please bear with me. Where do I start ? Documentation / examples will certainly help. Where do I keep the text files? In QopenSys or QDLS or somwhere else. Is FTP a better solution ? Appreciate your help, Sandeep Potnis ______________________________________________ FREE Personalized Email at Mail.com Sign up at http://www.mail.com?sr=mc.mk.mcm.tag001 +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
