We usually copy the file to a save file, FTP it over, then retrieve from
the save file.

Subject: FTP Externally Described Files

I am trying to FTP a file between two AS/400's.
The file will transfer fine, but it loses its external description and
turns
into a flat file.
I have RTFM and tried all the options that I thought were applicable.
Note: I am transferring from a V4.4 machine to a V4.3 machine.
