I'd like to think so but I've met waaaayyyyyy too many people who intend to
operate in "triage mode" - they don't have time to fix it and so think that
waiting for it to fail and then fixing it is the best way to go.

One other thought that tends to confirm my fears- my company makes the
Bypass2000 software for IBM - October 1999 (yes October!) was one of the best
months for sales that we've ever had in North America!  Scary huh - but we're
not complaining <grin>
