OS/400 is at V4R3 and PTF cum level is C9243430.  CA Express V4R4 service
pack is SF58121.  Also, I briefly looked through the APAR's online but did
not find anything relevant.

Thanks again for your assistance.  It's good to know that it should work.

My V4R4 setup behaves as IBM describes on page 52 of the NetServer redpiece
I referenced. When passwords are different, I'm prompted for one. If I
provide the right one, I get into NetServer. Hmmm. Sounds like you've got a
wierd situation going on. What release are you running? PTFed it lately?

Annoying, too, I hadn't noticed until just now that the #*)$#%&!!! thing
takes it upon itself to consider it a feature to cache the NetServer
password! Even with QRMTSIGN set to *FRCSIGNON!
