Here's a few suggestions:
Use a 'Guest User Profile' you can find all kind of documentation for that.

When you map a drive to Netserver, use the 'Login as' part of the mapping
and
use whatever profile you want. if you Check the box for 'Reconnect at login'
it
will ask for the right password.

Try this in a Bat file:
net use I: \\QS103ZPFM\QDLS * /USER:USERNAME /persistent:yes

I use this in NT in the Startup Folder, it might work in 98. The '*' makes
it
ask for a password and '/persistent:yes' makes it permanent.
Hope this helps,

I heard on the news today that Bill Gates and his wife are
expecting a baby in June. I'm betting that baby will be late.

We have V4R3 OS/400, V4R4 Client Access Express and Windows 98 installed.
When the password on the AS/400 does not match windows, I receive a Enter
Network Password window (You must supply a password to make this
connection) with a password prompt. After entering my AS/400 password, I
receive the password is incorrect (please try again) window. If the two
passwords match, I connect successfully. According to all the documentation
I have researched, the userids must match for Windows 98 but not necessarily
the passwords. Unfortunately, I cannot guarantee all users have the same
passwords on both systems.

Please help me with any information you have to overcome this problem, if at
all possible. Thanks.
