This sounds so true!

A buddy of mine uses Messenger Plus to monitor his system. His company went
one step further and added EVERY employee in the company who had a pager
into this (most employees have alpha pagers). This way, anybody on the
system could send a page to whomever they wanted to reach.

I think it would be a good idea for the paging programs to support multiple
methods of pager contact. For example, IS Mgr's pager is always dial-out,
salesman's pager is always Internet, etc. Keep in mind that every dial
connection costs a few cents and utilizing a pipe that is already in place
and paid for makes good sense.

Because it's real hard to have email sent to your paging service
letting you know that your net-connection or email server is down
when your net-connection or email server is down.

We've tested both email-paging and dialout-paging and found that
dialout has been both faster and more reliable.
