David is right.

We use Robot/Alert in conjunction with Robot/Console to provide us with MSGQ
monitoring, escalation, and notification. We have three AS/400's using
Robot/Console to consolidate all MSGQ escalation and notification to one AS/400
using Robot/Alert. Without a lot of effort we are centralizing a fair amount of
our system management.........

To be honest I'm not sure how much worse or better it is to have two products
vs. one integrated products. We had been using Robot/Alert for years as well as
other Help Systems products so the choice for us didn't require a lot of
analysis. I do know that the integration of R/Console to R/Alert is a very
simple process and that we also integrate R/Alert with other Help System
products.

We are quite pleased. Now if I could only get two way paging coverage in our
part of Indiana I would be very happy....hear that Ameritech, Skytel, Pagemart?

As I've mentioned a few times in the past, Robot/Alert is a fine product if
all you need is paging. It does nothing with regard to QSYSOPR monitoring,
problem escalation, or automatic responses.

It also integrates quite tightly into the other Robot products.
