I haven't followed the thread very closely. However, it has been my
experience that whenever it is suggested that you stop a virus program,
that you actually remove it from the PC. This bit me just last week.
When done, reinstall it.

O.K. I ended MCAFFE virus check from the close programs window and
uninstalled C/A and reinstalled it. Still bombed. I did this without the
service pack. I will try loading on the service pack and see if that works.
Is SF57002 the latest service pack and should I also be looking for PTF's on
the 400 box?

Yea Joe... the computer, not the AS/400. The reason I asked about Norton
being on it was because I had nothing but problems installing that exact
same setup (CA V3R2 & SF57002) on machines that had Norton tools (speedisk,
antivirus, etc) running in the background/taskbar. I ended up opening a
trouble ticket with IBM and their 1st recommendation was to disable Norton
during the CA and SF installation process. Upon disabling Norton the
installation was flawless. Apparently Norton didn't allow certain registry
changes/settings to take place during the CA and SF installation process.

You say that Norton might have been on there at one time. It's possible that
it's still on there. Take a peek under task manager...

When you say BOX, do you mean my PC or the network from which I tried to
copy the file? My PC does not have Norton, but I believe it may have had
Norton utilities at one time. Now I am running MCAFFE Virus Shield 3.0.0. I
can't speak for the network but I can ask them (the network guys) about it
if needed.

Is the box your experiencing this problem on running any Norton utilities?

----
I just upgraded to Client Access V3R2M0 and applied service pack SF57002.

When I use explorer to copy files to QDLS folder on the 400, I keep getting
the message:
"CWBSS caused invalid page fault in kernal32"
and my machine locks up causing me to turn the computer off in order to
reboot.

Has any one else had this problem? Any suggestions on getting around it?

Thank you,

Joe Giusto II
