No, it does not appear to be a config problem as this modem will often
pickup and answer correctly. We dial-in to this customer often and have
for many years. The 7852 modem is just new to the scene. It actually
works well after it picks up the call, IF it picks it up, that is.
Another 'direct' line is being tried to test the situation and appears
to be working. I just want to know if the 'ring' signal could be likely
deminished or distorted due to the phone line being supported via their
PBX phone switch. I understand that the older 9600 baud modem may have
been more responsive than the 33.6 modem.
