Mike, We have a setup like Art describes. Really simple. The local telco (USWest) charges $85/mo for an ISDN line and NWNexus has a soho offering of 250 hours/month for $85/mo. That covers 10 hours/day before extra charges kick in. NWNexus provided a router (Netopia) for $700, which they configured with a static IP address. The only problem we have run into is that the ISP setup is designed for outbound traffic. When the router at the 400 times out, it doesn't wake up from outside traffic. We wrote a program that does a ping every 15 seconds and that solved that.
