Shen,

I think Buck's answer is a good one. I use those keywords all the time and
I test my printouts by looking at the WRKSPLF output. Only rarely do I need
physically to print anything. The main limitation of WRKSPLF I find is when
there is overprinting.

As Buck said, look in the top right corner of the screen where you can see
Page/Line. Enter +1 in the control field and press Enter to go down one
line at a time. For example, I have the following lines in a source
program.

     C ENDDO
      /EJECT
     C UPD55 BEGSR

When I look at the compiled program with WRKSPLF I see:

*...+....1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+....5..
     1600 C ENDDO
 5769RG1 V4R2M0 980228 IBM RPG/400
 SEQUENCE
 NUMBER *...1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+.
     1800 C UPD55 BEGSR

and the top right of the screen shows:

Page/Line 5/14
Columns 1 - 130

If I go down 1 line this changes to:

*...+....1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+....5.
 5769RG1 V4R2M0 980228 IBM RPG/400
 SEQUENCE
 NUMBER *...1....+....2....+....3....+....4....+
     1800 C UPD55 BEGSR
     1900 *

and:

Page/Line 6/1
Columns 1 - 130

Going down 1 further line I see that Page/Line changes to 6/3 indicating
that there is a blank line between the 5769RG1 and SEQUENCE lines. How does
this not give you what you want?
