     Third party. ASI (Ascent Solutions, Inc) has a PKZIP product for 
     OS400. I had a few problems with it and stopped using it, but 
     haven't looked at any of the newer versions.

When do you thing IBM will supply a native zip engine that will allow the 
ability to compress files on the IFS in zip format.  This is a needed component 
when trying to give file data to customers accessing information from the web 
server.  I cannot believe they have not ported this capability yet.  It would be
nice to send report data from regular programs to the ifs and zip it with CL 
commands.
