This is now built in.  You did not mention your current version.  If it
is V4R2, go LICPGM and choose option 5, prepare.

If you are at an earlier release level, you need the "Installation
Preparation PTFs for V4R2" CD.  This CD basically installs option 5 on
the GO LICPGM menu for pre-V4R2 releases.  (RISC only).

This function will read and verify your CD material, insuring that
everything you need to upgrade is there on the CDs.  It will also allow
you to accomplish even difficult installs with minimum human
intervention because you can pre-specify what goes on and what comes off
and *still* do an auto-install of the upgrade.
