You might try telnetting to the HTTP server. To do this, use TELNET RMTSYS(YOUR.ADDRESS.COM) PORT(80) and let it connect. When connected you won't get any message other than the telnet client being connected. Then send the following command: GET /directory/page.html HTTP/1.0 then the equivalent of two ASCII Ctrl-M characters (ASCII code 13 for the Enter key). This will get the HTTP server to send the HTML code to your telnet client, and the HTTP server will close the connection when it is finished sending. This won't get you any graphics, etc. since those require an additional connection to the server to request the files. Hope this helps! We need this capability for the folowing reason: Each nignt, our AS/400 send a files to an NT server via FTP. After receiving the file, the NT server must start a process that will incorporate the file's data into an intranet application. The way to start the processing in the NT server is to request a web page that as a CGI program linked to it. We can not put a program on the NT server that would monitor activity on the transfered file. I hope my explanation is clear enought Thank you in advance Denis Robitaille Cascades Inc 819 363 5187 fax 819 363 5177 DRobitaille@cascades.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
