Roger,

First the disclaimer: I work for Cornerstone Communications and am one
of the Developers of Fax Server/401.

Our product, Fax Server/401 ( www.faxserver401.com ) handles not only
your AS/400 faxing needs, but also your network faxing.

I am not familiar with OPTIO. Is it a PCL5 generator? If so, we
handle that as well.

Pricing for Fax Server/401 starts at $3,400 for a single line system.

There are other systems out there that are even less expensive on the
surface, but be sure and find out what an operating system will cost.
And you can get a 21 day free trial from us.

For more information, please contact me via private email
(bob@cstoneindy.com) or give Jeff a call at 317-802-0107 Ext 106 and
tell him "Bob sent you".

Regards,
Bob Crothers

Subject: Inexpensive and easy-to-use AS/400 Faxing

Our users already have faxing capabilities from their desktop using
FaxSys and our network guys are looking at installing a DID faxing
server, but neither of these at this time appears to be able to
readily
help us with our AS/400 faxing needs. Our primary need is to fax
contract type documents created on the AS/400 (JDEdwards) and run
through OPTIO where they are reformatted to look pretty and converted
to
ASCII. We currently print these out and manually fax them. Can
anyone
help me locate (if one exists) a cheap, easy-to-use faxing solution
for
the AS/400 that is simple enough that MIS can install it and then give
it to the users with little babysitting? Any suggestions would be
greatly appreciated.
