James, sometime for fun, on a full subfile, not page-at-a-time, put the *SCRBAR option in front of the *MORE option on the SFLEND keyword and compile the screen as enhanced. In Rumba it looks great, but even a Client Access green screen will offer a presentable scrollbar, including the ability to scroll one record at a time.
