Spool file position in QSPL

Loyd,

While there are indirect methods to currently determine the underlying
file and member (Work Control Block, Object Locks, etc. as mentioned in
other notes), I would second Bradleys guidance "It's best not to mess.."
in this area of the system.  This is true today, and may be even more
true in the future.  For sure there is no formal programming interface
to this information; the best you can hope for is to get details on
the current implementation of spool (which is subject to change at any
old time).

Rather than answering your direct question I would much rather understand
why you need this information.  What are you hoping to accomplish if
you have access to the underlying file and member?  Understanding this
might help us come up with a more stable approach.
