Well, 9600 IS Slow! However, even thought the AWC will configure to 38,400 bps, you can't really get any thoughput advantage beyond a 14,400 modem. ONLY Advantage of AWC is ability to be in the controlling subsystem from home. There are other ways to do this now with PC Console etc if that is a concern. I'd move to a LAN based solution. ie Shiva Lan-Rover, Perle 833, or even NT RAS if you like NT. All of these solutions can keep your 28,800 or better modem running flat out. I like to say: 'Better than being there'.
