Yes the SPD bus machines can support 100MB Ethernet. RISC only and V4R1 or 
better required.  The
same PCI 10/100 Enet adaptor (#2838) is installed inside a #2810 LAN/WAN IOP. 
(Think of it as a PCI
adaptor for the SPD BUS).

No this is not Giga Ethernet - that would be 1000MB and the AS/400 does not 
play at that speed yet.
