(in no particular order) Go back to bed and try again tomorrow Blame microsoft for getting into network appliances Take the microsoft solution and just change the standard for toast Get a flashlight so I can see what's wrong with it since the lights are out ! What's a toaster ? Call an electrician and have the house rewired. Blame my wife/husband Suggest to my wife/husband that maybe they would like some toast ... and then act suprised when the toaster doesn't work. Wait..... Go on the internet and download the scematics for the toaster, disassemble the toaster & rebuild it with a larger heating element. put the toaster in the microwave.... or the obvious answer - plug it back in!
