This is a good point: we are folks who ultimately succeed or fail based on 
our technical knowledge.  But I think the question that's really been 
posed here is this: Does taking/passing the IBM certification mean that 
you have the real-world technical knowledge you need to meet the 
day-to-day job requirements?

There have to be some articles in News/400 or Midrange Computing on this 
topic.  Perhaps we can start a thread going on the RPG400-L list if 
there's enough interest...
