Neil, If you've already resolved this situation to your satisfaction, then ignore this note. I tried briefly to find your PMR in RETAIN. But, frankly, I have no skills in using RETAIN at all (and don't really want to learn more). Could you either post or e-mail me the PMR number for your problem? It would help me get in synch with the folks you've already talked to if I know what PMR to refer to. Also, if you still have access to the V4R2 machine (or machines) where the install problem was noted could you issue the following command: DSPOBJD OBJ(QSYS/QTOICONV) OBJTYPE(*PGM) DETAIL(*SERVICE) and note what value is reported for both the "Object control level" and "PTF number" for this program. This info might help us close in on a possible source of the problem.
