I was under the impression that the Line Speed parameter for any line
(well, for v.24 and v.35) on the AS/400 is treated as a comment field.
er.. as long as you don't exceed the capabilities of the comm port (the
aggregate for the entire comm adapter, not just the single port you're
using).

I think it really does matter with Token Ring (where each adapter is really
a receiver and re-transmitter).  I think it does matter, too, with Ethernet.
