Carl: Thanks so much for your reply. The frustrating part of this problem is not even knowing the right questions to ask. I initially did not change my modem, which was the 33.6 multitech that comes for the ECS line. I went out and bought a V.90 Hayes modem, but that didn't solve the problem. I don't think it is a modem problem either because I am connecting, but the IBM Support Line people think it is a modem issue. They don't say why they think it is a modem issue, and I am struggling not to say anything nasty. I am using a connection script. The ISP indicated they went from a single com server to a pool, which makes me wonder if I should change the dial profile to *Dynamic. This requires a new connection script, which I cannot figure out, and once again the support line says requires a consult line contract.
