I think you missed my point (which was supposed to be humorous - rats failed
again!) .  I was merely pointing out that I don't think performing maintenance
on a live application is a terribly sensible thing to do.

On a more serious note, I don't see that the implementation technology (code
generator or "interpreter" or whatever) has anything at all to do with how
intelligent the software is.  There is no connection between the two.
