Guess, that the problem something like:
What you key in at the green *PC* screen is ASCII, (pressing Alt+126 gives some
strange cursormovements PLUS the known "~"), so the mapping towards EBCDIC is
done later when press Enter. I know not enough about CA to point out that
place.

You CAN map key-combinations to any ASCII-value via a macro however.

In my CA Display session this means half index down.  There is no way the hex
key
can be mapped  since it is not available on the function drop down box.
