The QSTRUP-program is INTENDED to be changed (Rather make a RTVCLSRC to a new
source in YOUR system's production-program-lib) and change it + the systemvalue

pointing to it.
I've never worked on an AS/400 where is was NOT changed, though you also can do
your start-up process via autostartjobs in the SBS's.

The log probably is somewhere in the joblog outq under a Q* name. I don't want
to use half an hour to find it (doing an IPL), but change your new QSTRUP to
end with an OVRPRTF to a known outq and then a DSPJOB *PRINT *JOBLOG. Also
change
the job to LOGCLPGM(*YES). That should give you the needed control.
