it's  fine - disregarding  performance- you have to be  sure this new long-
date does not  find its way  down into an LDA or your  date
calc/comparison  code files etc  with out modifications.  Then there is
Query  sorts  and the like that  might have you  wanting the VASP  parts or
their equivalent to round out the deal.

I am assuming the  source  code is in tact and the  project is very small.
So you are not spinning wheels on Impact analysis and remediation efforts
needlessly without a tools assistance.
