Don't know about RPGII, but if they are on an Advanced/36 or in the
S/36EE  (this MAY also work on a S/36 Classic with VASP installed) you
can use OCL substitution expression ?LONGDATE? to return 8 digit date.
You could use that in OCL and store it in the LDA for the RPGII program.
