SOAPBOX(*on) Not to start any flames, but I stake my claim with Fax Server/401. I've said so several times. I'll say so again! I'm not sure that I've noticed the Quadrant product receiving that much praise here, either. Most of the responses I've seen seem to point toward IBM's fax solution. Having stated that, I'll admit that I've never worked with Quadrant, so I cannot say that one is better than the other. However, I will state that the product I use (Fax Server/401) is extremely capable and serves my needs without fail. Please do not include me in your blanket statements: "we've all basically decided that the quadrant product is far superior..." I have decided nothing of the sort. SOAPBOX(*OFF) Sorry about that.... I just get perturbed at blanket assumptions and misleading statements. I'm not a holy avenger, just a satisfied customer. :) One last statement: Thanks to Bob Crothers for his participation on this list. Its nice to know that should gremlins strike, support is just an email away. If you've got a better product, use it! No arguments...:) I just didn't hear too many fs/401 users echo'ing that they were using 401 and recomending it...other than you.... I don't have the time anymore to keep giving every vendor out there yet another chance to prove to me that their product lacks basic functionality....and I put at the TOP of basic functionality being able to send more than 1 splf in a SINGLE FAX TRANSMIT SESSION...WITH seperate and different OVL's... Frankly, my response was in reply to all those "FAX/400's the best thing since...." echos that always come down the pipe to this question... If I can do it on the fax machine at my office I should be able to do it with someone's software package. Period! ....perhaps this is why one of the most common packages doesn't even make minimum config requirement cutoffs.... :) Those are not only MY requirement but those of ALL my clients... ...as for m/s...not arguements...:)_ > When was the last time you checked out Quadrant's competition? Such > as Fax Server/401. Not only do we have a much richer feature set, our OUR??????????? You selling this?? And to be candid, I'll give it a looksy again sometime between now and Anaheim..but right now my sched's full... Can FS/401 send more than 1 splf in a fax session???? Curious..I dont' know the answer to that one... Further, I will only look at a fax package that does/will. > installs are much simpler, our support much better, and our prices are > lower. > +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
