Couldn't the batch job on AS400 #2 read/write to a DDMF that is defined on AS400 #1 that is attached to the current Line/ctl/dev, or, why not have the batch job actually run on AS400 #1, but read the data to send/receive via a DDM file on AS400#2. If you are worried about users on AS400#2 starting the job, you could use RUNRMTCMD or SBMNETJOB to actually have AS400 #2 start the batch job on AS400 #1 and read/write the data via DDM to AS400 #2.
