I can field that one since I have been selling, supporting, using, and recommending Synapse (www.synapse.com) products forever. I also have sold a few of the MI Remote Notebook products as well. The difference between the two is small and huge: MI Remote Notebook is a 5250 mod 12 emulator product that does display and printer. Each session must be configured as a 5250 device on the AS400. Synapse WinAPPC is an APPC product that supports display, printer, and file transfer. Once the APPC controller is configured on the AS400 off of the SDLC line you can have up to 32 "APPC conversations" (isplay, printer, file transfer, etc.) Jerry Jerome Draper +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
