You can send the file from a S/36 site to an AS/400 site and use CPYF to split out the records into the multiple physicals (if your multiformat logical with record format selector program is named the same as the physical on the /36, legacy programs will run against it with no problem). You can also have the files defined via IDDU on the /400, and using the IDDULINK proc against them will allow even DSPFFD to work. What is the cross-platform result that you're trying to achieve?
