The only problems I have run into when trying this is when using Excel97. I could not get it to save to a BIFF5 format in order to upload back to the 400. When I used Excel95 everything worked great. Download as a BIFF5 open Excel95 make your changes and upload. I get an "unspecificed error" everytime I run it.... Jim, I had the same problem. In self defense, I wrote a PC utility that will transform a tab delimited file (which excel can produce) to a positional record that can be FTP'd to the AS/400. If you'd like a copy, it's free and on my web site. The program name is FLATULATE. (Sort of gives you a flavor for how much I appreciated this CA functionality.)
