We save all journal receivers to tape and keep them some time. The money spent for the tapes is worth the benefit. Just two examples from my soap box: 1. Analyzing the journal entries made it possible to track down a subtle program error. 2. The journal is a very accurate tool to tell who has 'lost' a record by 'accidently' deleting it.
