I back-up every night. So I don't forget, I attach the >diskette to the filing cabinet next to my desk with a >magnet." As dumb as it sounds, this might -not- damage the data on the diskette! (at least on a 3-1/2" floppy). I've tried to intentionally erase stuff on a floppy with a refrigerator magnet, and, even when I rubbed the magnet on the surface of the floppy, it did NOT erase it. However... as a regular thing... I do NOT use magnets to hold diskettes to the filing cabinet. I staple them to the wall. --Paul E Musselman PaulMmn@ix.netcom.com +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
