I've named my Gateway/2000  "KIEV."  My Macintosh is "KNIFE."  My Gateway
at work is "ARCH."  Unfortunately, I sometimes have to explain -why.-

I agree with the comment that naming a machine prevents problems with
serial number changes.  Now if there was a way to change all of the names
in the NETA and have them self-install across an entire network (including
the PCs)...
