Remember something when you make these statements:  Some of this code is
old; hardware and software might not have been able to do very fancy
stuff. Some of this code has had many, many programmers in it tinkering
and adding their own bells and whistles.  Some of this code was hurried
together Friday night at 7:30 and stuck in as a "temporary" solution and
then left there because there was another fire waiting on Monday.  Some
code is left dangling because the company suddenly took a new strategic
direction after some convention or other.  And, yes, some of the code was
written by programmers with one year's experience, or with one year's
experience, eight times.  All in all though I think it speaks highly of
the ruggedness of the AS/400.
