HELP,

We are having much trouble restoring a library on a V3R2 model 300 machine
from a tape made on a V3R7 model 500 machine. We are using 8 mm tapes,
doing an INZTAP on the V3R7 machine and then a SAVLIB. Programs (ILE
COBOL) are created for V3R2 use.

When we do a RSTLIB on the V3R2 model 300 machine, the tape stops working,
the DEVD is damaged, the device goes to FAILED status and the CPU
utilization hits the roof. If we vary the device off, the CPU utilization
drops to normal, but the device cannot be varied back on successfully. It
goes to RCYPND mode resulting in an IPL to get it back online.

Any ideas?
