The trouble is, 10 years ain't so very long. I have 15 year old code sitting out there, running every day. Hell, this is 1997. I have 20 year old code sitting out there running every day. And the people running it have no intention of changing software or hardware. It'll be fire, flood or famine that takes them down, not old age. The Sys/36 is a pretty good machine.
