Along w/support for Year 2000 for the SSP, it had some other features, including CALL support for RPG II. But, I never IPL'd the system w/2000 as the year. Now the Advanced/36's includes the VASP so I presume that's how IBM implemented Y2K support in the SSP. BTW, getting VASP for the original 36's may be hard - I don't believe IBM offers it anymore. Also, you need to be at a high level of PTF's. If you're sticking w/36 code - I'd get an Advanced/36 w/OS400. W/O OS400 its a supercharged 36 that'll run just about all 36 object code. If you have all the source, then you should get OS400, so you can migrate the code to the 400 side.
