As a company that hires a portion of their pool from two local C.C. we
face the fact that there are a couple of Fortune 100 companies in the
area that will periodically hire the ENTIRE graduating class for 3-6
month projects to cull the herd.  To top it off, they have the financial
depth to out bid us :(

I've had interns lured away by such promises only to find themselves
with a curled up "dilbert" tie and calling back to find "real" work.  By
their definition that meant making a difference vs being a good little
cog in the big machine.  But, alas, historically 80% would rather be
"dilbert"....again :
