You cant use *MAP or *DROP for program described files (as Tim is
probably still using some S/36E program described files).
FMTOPT(*NOCHK) is one way to put the data from a program described file
into an externally defined file if you have the field layout matching
the program file field layout.   It is also a good idea to check and fix
decimal data after using the *NOCHK to move from program described file
to externally described files.   When copying between externally
described files, *MAP, *DROP is a better suggestion.  I usually will do
*MAP first to catch the misspelled field names before using *MAP
*DROP.   JMO.
