The mystery is that the BOS, CLI, and DCI cards do work in high speed
pentiums but not all the time. I originally found this out from Wall Data
tech support in December. They field about 70-80 twinax related calls each
month.

I also learned that the Synapse card resolved the problem in every case. We
just don't know why. Is is BIOS, motherboard, IRQ, chipset, what? I don't
know. It's just a problem/solution that I know works.

Cozzi's problem with the Aptiva sounds familiar. I don't really know if
Synapse will solve his problem but it might because it sounds like it's
similar to the other IBM/Clone problems I've seen. Maybe it won't. The
problem seems to be related to fully loaded high speed pentiums with few
available resources like Cozzi's Aptiva.

News/400 did file transfer tests with the BOS card in "stealth" mode (3
times slower), the BOS card in "IBM" mode (twice as slow), and the Synapse
card (fastest).

Regards, Jerry
