Why do you need it? Are you going to put a countdown on the screen and refresh it? If you use the timeout method, the system does the work for you.

Just throwing out an alternative: There was an old technique used back in the /36 days that used (IIRC) an ICF file as the timeout mechanism, with a $$TIMER format or keyword.
