As far as the new MI pdf goes, the sloppy conversion (just look at EDIT) suggests that either there's no budget for quality work or nobody really cares. I had hoped the p and i series were going to be consolidated as a single brand. This would mean separating the OS from the common hardware. Maybe by the time the zSeries goes ppc this will make more sense. If there's a common hardware brand, it would make sense that the current pSeries PowerPC docs should also include the iSeries extensions. Funny that the same documentation that is considered just a reference for assembler programming on the pSeries is also considered sensitive internals documentation for the iSeries. It would be interesting if the new virtualization layer offers a new way to explore the underpinnings of i5/OS. For example, accessing disk that otherwise can only be done via DST/SST.
